Making babies and raising kids is an act of faith. I know from personal experience, it's also a fulfilling line of work if you do it right, although I didn't do it to my parents' degree.
People so into self fulfillment that they have no time for acts of faith don't have to worry about dying and going to hell. They are living in it.
Most of Europe is below replacement level and is still going down. Since this has never before happened in history we don't know what the floor might be or if there is a floor.
The same trend is affecting Americans of European ancestry. The only reason we haven't fallen off the cliff yet is birth rates among immigrants - and the State of Utah.
Someone would have to be independently wealthy to take a large family to Europe for a vacation.

Is it really a potential clash of the crescent and cross in Europe?? Given that so many in Europe aren’t members of Christian denominations anymore, it might be better said to be a clash between the crescent and secularism.
Is that the new PM and his ‘Mommy’? Pretty sure those two won’t be helping to repopulate Europe, either. ;)
The only way now that Europe does not become an Arabized Moslem society is if there is an invasion and conquest of the Continent by either Russia or America or both. That would require that America come to its own senses regarding Islam first.
It’s so much easier to care about “the children” than to care for an actual child.

Growing up in my town 4 of my 6 best friend came from big families (1 had 13 brothers and sisters, another had 9, another 8 and the least had 5, the other two who didn’t come from big families had a brother and 2 sisters and the smallest family group was just him and his mom.). I don’t think big families will ever be in fashion, unless we get tax breaks for large families - married parents, not sperm donor...
Frankly, I find that particular theory of leaders with children care about their future and govern accordingly is nothing but hogwash BS. Two of our more recent ‘leaders’ did nothing of the sort. First we had the Clinton couple with a daughter, now married, and one Clinton grandchild produced.
The other would be the BO’B couple with two teen-age daughters. Neither of these two couples considered the state of the world when they proceeded to burn down the house. After all, they told us their family would be ‘just fine’. So what if they blew up the world — their family was ‘special’ and would be well protected and well provided.

When I lived there with my baby, other mothers were always saying to me in a condescending way, “Je ne suis pas un esclave à mon bébé.” (I’m not a slave to my baby) As though I was, because I stayed home to care for him, I took him to the park (very few other moms there, just nannies), etc.
