I’ll do anything except advanced plumbing and electrical work. The downside of screwing it up is too great. But in the summer, you’ll usually find me puttering in the garage workshop. It’s part of the Man Code with Mrs. Henkster. “I’m going to clean off the work bench” really means “I’m going into the garage to drink beer and watch the Cub game. I do not expect to be disturbed.”

Other Man Code translations:

“I thought we’d explore an alternate route” means “I’m lost.”

“That’s nice dear” means “Are you still talking?”

“That dress really looks nice” means “I’ve done something you’re really not going to like but I’m not ready to tell you about it.”

It was a son-mom trip to Hawaii last time; daughter went off to Europe 2 years ago with friends.

Son will be here to take care of dogs.

Boy is out of school and working full time this summer and we've been hanging out a lot lately.

Things are ok here. Chilly and soggy this evening. Rain on and off all day as a cold front comes through.
