With the likely failure of RyanCare on the horizon, the landscape of the Republican party may drastically restructure itself.
Ryans heathcare bill was supposed to be a full repeal and replacement of ObamaCare, but many conservatives have abandoned Ryan’s bill, citing it keeps many of President Obama’s policies intact.
As a result, President Trump modestly went to Capitol Hill and urged congress and threatened their chances of reelection if they fail to launch.
Paul Ryan barely received an endorsement from Donald Trump given Ryan’s stigma of being a Republican In Name Only.
Enter Trey Gowdy, the man who publicly lambasted Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder, and James Comey.

Try Gowdy is faboulous IMO....I spend time watching his videos and how he handles congress etc. He’s most assuredly a fighter and cares less how he’s seen ....
Not sure i want to see him leave his current post as hes do good at it! However Chaz is a very close runner up to being just like him and could assume his place there.

I think all was done that could have been...Trump even compromised where he really didn’t want to....the Freedom Caucus stood firm and maybe they needed to so this beast of an Obamacare will die on its own.....
...then this administration can either open the borders for Insurance to be purchased and get a hold of health care costs ..which is where the real problem is.
I see good coming out of this...and I don’t think Trump was hurt at all in this...and regardless of what the outcome would have been the MSM and Demorats would have been critical anyway...they always are.

And Trump has been careful to keep his name off the bill too. I predict nothing gets done for a long time unless Obamacare fails completely, which is apparently what Trump hopes for when he says he will work with Democrats on this.
Then you must be aware that the House Freedom Causus was instrumental in removing him.

I could never figure out that photo set he had taken of himself. It looks so obviously hokey, amateurish, and just plain weird. Anyone with even a barely-working political compass that has to deal with impression management as part of their job would take one look at those pictures and nix them.

Agreed. The biggest problem with Ryan is that he just seems dumb. His and Reince’s supposed political intelligence have been way over-hyped, and neither were exactly loyal to Trump during the campaign.
If Reince was brought on board to help push stuff through Congress with all his connections, than this mess tells you all you need to know about whether it was worth it to cozy up to the GOPe.
The smart people in this party (Trump, Bannon, etc.) are just too busy trying to compromise with the brain-dead establishment that they can’t get anything done themselves. Trump really needs to use this opportunity to clean house. And we need a new Speaker as well. I just don’t know who to trust at this point.

I respect Gowdy, but it seems I am a terrible judge of character. Not good at knowing what someone is really up to is my flaw. I don’t play games (hate office politics) so I have kept myself pure in all that that entails.
