On Monday Gorsuch’s confirmation hearings start in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
John Roberts was confirmed right way. President Bush's team swore up and down that he was an "originalist" and Senate Republicans figured that was good enough and quickly rubbed stamped the appointment, giving him a lifetime job on the nation's highest court.

The Senate is controlled by the GOP. No sense of urgency and many out of control egos characterize the party. The leadership identifies more with the opposition and powerful financial interests than the conservative voter base. Mitch McConnell and the party leadership is deliberately slow walking the Trump agenda.
