Southern rock band Blackberry Smoke is sticking to what they know.
"I don't think that our fans want to hear about our politics," lead singer Charlie Starr told Fox News. "We're not what you would call a politically-charged band."
The Georgia native said their job as musicians is to offer their fans an escape from the often-harsh world, not share their politics.

Me neither. Their name sounds like a phone that might be made if Research In Motion and Samsung worked together.
But I completely agree that they are dead on in this and I really wish all other entertainers would adopt this mentality.

You are definitely missing out if you’ve not heard these guys! They are a cross of Black Crowds and Lynyrd Skynyrd. I’ve seen them twice and can’t wait to see them again. My latest favorite band.
Blackberry Smoke is one of my favorite “new” bands. If you like southern rock or country, you will dig these guys. Great songs and a great live band. I saw them last year open for ZZ Top and they were excellent. My buddy that lives in Atlanta knows Charlie from the local music scene and said he is a great guy. If you like rock and roll with a southern trend and some country mixed in, I cannot recommend them enough.
