You’d think the RATS would have taken advantage of Tulsi Gabbard in the DNC rat-fight. You’d think the RATS would do *anything* rational to protects those billions worth of donors. You’d think HRC would have taken Sanders VP and smacked us into outer space, for 40 years.
You’d think the RATS would have deferred to James Carville instead of throwing away their 100yr project to Robbie Mook. You’d think they’d have taken Wikileaks and Anonymous seriously. You’d think they’d have prevented WJC and Lynch from meeting.
All in all, it could be said the RATS threw their own election. For what means?
So many great points made in your post. They could have run a pretty damn competitive race. Hubris? Perhaps they expected the world to blow up, and didn’t want the blame?
You also would think Jeb Bush was invincible. And another Bush/Clinton matchup was inevitable.
What happened is the arrogance of the establishment ran headfirst into two insurrections come 2016. One insurrection was much older and practical than the other, so it succeeded. Plus, Trump re-wrote the political playbook and the other side still doesn't want to realize that the rules have changed, so they keep calling plays from the old, failed playbook.
