Twitter is actually very similar to FR, comments posted in reply or retweeted (repeated). Differences, user names all start with @ that’s their way of signaling an account.
Another major difference is you can follow who you want meaning you can limit the comments you see to people you care about. Not a problem on FR but lots of message boards full of trolls.
Biggest difference, you have to say whatever you have to say in 140 characters including address (example: @realdonaldtrump already cost you 16 chars). That spawns abbreviations like u r etc.
I know you didn’t ask for a tutorial, my original point is, Twitter much like FR.

I don’t post on Twitter, just use it to follow conservative politics: Donald J. Trump (& his family), several Cabinet members, Bill Mitchell, Sarah Palin, Michael Delauzon, and our fellow FReeper Kristinn Taylor (@KristinnFR) to name a few.
