Take them out of the press pool, and add conservative news sites into it. Don’t let the fake news into press conferences. Do it.
I have always wondered how the pool is chosen. Obviously the big players have always had representatives in the room.
In the interest of diversity, level playing fields, etc., I don’t see why the big players should get preferential treatment, particularly when they are biased.
I think a good plan might be if President Trump were to allocate regular slots for a few honest news outlets, then have a batch of them either picked at random or on some sort of rotation so that any organization would have an equal chance of getting in. This way, the liars would still have a chance so they could not scream that they were being banned or censored, but they would be on equal footing with the Podunk Weekly Dispatch, the local high school newspaper, and Joe Six-Pack’s blog.
