Gosh, that is comforting, knowing your record on building high speed rail boondoggles, Governor...
Jerry never learned the lesson of “Opportunity Costs”.
When you spend your resources (time, money, energy) on one thing, those same resources aren’t then available to spend on another thing.
When he was spending California’s resources on sanctuary cities and other federal issues, he wasn’t spending California’s resources on protecting Californians from floods.
This is his baby.
Past time for Moonbeam, his rat legislature and left wing judges to do something positive for the Californians.
Time to stop Moonbeam and his thugs from doing their constant 24/7/365, $crewing of the good Californians for their pet illegals and worthless liberals.
How’s the choo choo working for ya Moonbeam? Can you evac all the residents from the area with it?
Jerry, what you need to do is stand at the bottom of the dam and exude the full power of your leftist ideology. That should hold back the waters until all repairs are made.
Now do they have enough water for those 9 delta smelt? Almonds are getting pretty expensive here in flyover land.
You're gonna have to find yourself another best friend somehow.
What a patriot, especially for a governor from a state that wants to secede, and run its own immigration policy.
The cost of the evacuation, the costs to businesses and individuals, the cost of repairing the spillway dwarf the cost of maintaining the spillway, maintenance which wasn’t done. Why?
A stitch in time saves nine.
On one hand, don’t want to see innocent folks suffer.
On the other hand, giving the California Govt. money is totally rewarding bad behavior; they want to have their sanctuary cities, mega public worker pension plans, and overall lack of respect to most individual rights.
And even if a helping hand is extended, there will NEVER be any gratitude from the morons who run the place and their sycophants.
Since the help would be to save some people that are stuck behind “enemy” lines, the help should be extended I think.
Maybe if it was in the form of a loan, that would obligate certain performances by Sacramento, assuming they would ever live up to an agreement.
I am sure they are doing everything they can now. But the reality is, the problem was caused by the damn operators, not the rain. You see the damn operators have internet connections just like the rest of us. And they get weather reports just like the rest of us. But they have been in a drought for a long time. And just like a wino likes a generous pour. The damn operators wanted to fill their reservoir up to the brim. The problem is they screwed up. The forecast was right. And the rain came just as it was predicted. The damn operators did not let the water out like the manual suggested. They were trying for a generous pour to the brim.
So, now they broke their damn, and their spillway, and a few hundred houses, road, towns, and whatever down stream. And now they want to call it a natural disaster. But really its operator error by a California employee.
Liberals destroy everything they touch!
This dam debacle is happening to Republican stronghold areas N. of Sacramento, and caused by mismanagement by governor moonbeam and his environmentalist whacko pals. The story of the cool water draw up using the power plant pumps to protect freaking fish (steelhead salmon) may play a part in inability to cope with the water level (that has more coming from the snowpack and a wet snow/rain front coming).
So naturally, governor moonbeam wants to hit Trump up for money— he won’t touch his sacred useless high speed rail debacle money, nor the money wasted on the drought. Man is an absolute fool- the moonbeam is.
Moonbeam vs The Dam. A great title for a bad B movie.
Jerry turn over a million illegals to ICE, cancel sanctuary and we’ll talk dam. Make Moonbeam a deal he can’t refuse.
Maybe President trump could help by mailing Jerry a truckload of straws...
Suck it up, Jerry !!!
Gov Jerry Moonbeam -> the NEW Kathleen Blanco
Demand assurances first that CA will comply with federal law.
Simple question. Answer takes a few seconds: ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.
