The chairman of Portland Community College's board resigned from his elected position to protest what he called a political decision to classify the school a "sanctuary" for undocumented students.
Gene Pitts, who represented eastern Washington County and Southwest Portland on the board, submitted his resignation letter before Christmas, school officials confirmed Wednesday.
PCC, the state's largest post-secondary institution, had voted to adopt the sanctuary campus label at the urging of its student body, and with the support of first-year president Mark Mitsui.

I want to see nationwide butthurt on these college campuses.
I don’t know it you’d call it ‘butt hurt’... but wallowing in the crime and filth of some people who muscle into your community, trash your environment, contribute nothing and have NO stake in what goes on...then THAT is what they are going to experience!
If various states, cities, college campi and people around the country can choose to ignore laws they personally don’t like, why can’t the rest of us?
PSU is the spawning ground for most all of the protesters in Portland.
Before leaving, he should have made a list of all illegals on campus from students to profs to clerical to janitorial and sent one copy to ICE and cc another to Trump.
