In the world of climate science, the skeptics are coming in from the cold.
Researchers who see global warming as something less than a planet-ending calamity believe the incoming Trump administration may allow their views to be developed and heard. This didnt happen under the Obama administration, which denied that a debate even existed. Now, some scientists say, a more inclusive approach and the billions of federal dollars that might support it could be in the offing.
The field is cluttered with entrenched figures who must toe the established line, he said, pointing to a recent congressional report that found the Obama administration got a top Department of Energy scientist fired and generally intimidated the staff to conform with its politicized position on climate change.
Remember this was a tiny field, a backwater, and then suddenly you increased the funding to billions and everyone got into it, Lindzen said. Even in 1990 no one at MIT called themselves a climate scientist, and then all of a sudden everyone was. They only entered it because of the bucks; they realized it was a gravy train. You have to get it back to the people who only care about the science.

inclusive approach and the billions of federal dollars that might support it
Take out the federal dollars please, Al Gore and Leonardo DiC would like to hand over the funds for any research I am sure.
Mankind is not going to control the climate no matter what it does or does not do.
Earth > Us.

The open question is where do you find them? The colleges and universities stay in business with government grant money. Let them come up with plausible ideas first without the government tit being involved. "Scientific researchers" are just a bunch of Liberal whores for the most part who make their living off of the government. We simply have to substantially remove the unwarranted financial incentives to move "science" back to reality.
More winning, and I rank that right up there at the top.
Wow. They’re still working:
The most abundant “greenhouse gas” is WATER, which comprises over 94% of “greenhouse gases”.
There are so many variables in the state and density of water in the atmosphere that IT CAN NOT BE MODELED.
CO2 comprises less that 4% of “greenhouse gases”.
Since the 94% can’t be modeled, how can we possibly develop a reliable model for the impact of the less than 4% CO2 component?
You can have science. You can have government funding. You can't have government funded science.
The reality is that Climate Scientists, EVEN THE ONES THAT BELIEVE HUMANS ARE AFFECTING THE CLIMATE... do not remotely believe the crap being sold in their name. No, they don’t claim that it will destroy the planet int he next 100 years... in fact even the ones that believe it is affecting climate believe the effects are minimal.
The entire thing is a political lie... nothing more
Great band, and one of the best songs of all time IMO.
You Climate Change Nuts can't have it both ways. It's either still in dispute or it's not, and, if it's not, NO SOUP FOR YOU!
The entire "theory" does not meet ANY of the requirements of a Scientific Theory, no matter how AGW fetishists say so.
Believe it’s 0.4%, not 4%
The air we breath will kill us before the climate ever has a chance.
I think she got her marching orders from the same people that told Nature and Scientific American to eliminate reality as well.
From President Eisenhower's farewell address.
Today, the solitary inventor, tinkering in his shop, has been overshadowed by task forces of scientists in laboratories and testing fields. In the same fashion, the free university, historically the fountainhead of free ideas and scientific discovery, has experienced a revolution in the conduct of research. Partly because of the huge costs involved, a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity. For every old blackboard there are now hundreds of new electronic computers. The prospect of domination of the nation's scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present -- and is gravely to be regarded.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWiIYW_fBfY&t=9m5s
Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite.
