A MAN with an assault rifle walked into a Washington pizza store today to ‘self-investigate’ fake election campaign reports that Hillary Clinton had run a child sex ring there.
The gunman was arrested after firing at least one shot, causing panic and nearby businesses to go into lockdown.
Police reports say Edgar Maddison Welch, 28, of Maddison North Carolina had walked through the front door of Comet Ping Pong and pointed his weapon at staff.
One was able to flee and notify police.
He surrendered himself after a 45-minute stand-off.
The family restaurant was caught up in the tide of fake news that swept the United States during the recent presidential election campaign.
The retired general selected by US President-elect Donald Trump as his National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn, was one of several senior Republicans who circulated the story on social media.
The FBI and police have since instructed the completely unsubstantiated story be removed from sites such as Facebook and Reddit.

Although this “conspiracy” is only about 3 weeks old, it has reached the greatest opposition in efforts to discredit or censor it than any other story before.

WMAL, a Wash DC radio station that airs Rush Limbaugh, Savage Nation, Mark Levin & other conservative hosts, actually reported this on the air this morning. I couldn’t believe it.
That’s a way different story than I read yesterday. Also, I read that the traffic cams were directed AWAY from Comet Pizza on Friday or Saturday. Co-inkydink? I think not.
Not anymore...As of now the traffic cams are completely GONE! Hope our government isn’t planning something nasty.

the representation of the conspiracy is false. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone accuse Hillary of RUNNING the sex ring out of the pizza joint.
The belief is that there is a global child-trafficking ring which Hillary is most likely part of. Comet Pizza block seems to be some kind of portal or important meeting place of some kind, but certainly not in the image the media is trying to fabricate.
