If the ending is anything like that effing Jodi Foster Sci Fi film, “Contact,” then I don’t want to see it. Or like “Lost” or anything in that nature.
Thankfully, it isn't exactly like "Contact". It is a decent film, but I would say that the film is more about interaction with the aliens, how language works, and concepts of the fluidity of time rather than a sci-fi action film. I liked the movie, but keep in mind that it is a bit more of a high concept film than it is a summer blockbuster film. My only "criticisms" of the film would be that the ending is a bit abrupt and that it could have used a bit more backstory and resolution in regards to the aliens.
No, not in the least! I won’t spoil the ending but I can assure you that it most certainly is not like Contact. Let’s just say that it is definitely LIFE afferming.
