I’ll let Freepers who have seen the movie weigh in. I trust their opinions more than some mainstream media “reviewer.”

To choose to have a child knowing how they will die ... that is the pro-life message.
The aliens are very alien, the science fiction is interesting.
It goes moderately downhill with the reveal, since it takes Sapir-Whorf theory to an extreme that is biologically impossible for humans and probably in violation of physics.

Once or twice a year, a movie comes along that is not only an exciting piece of entertainment and a shining exemplar of cinematic craftsmanship,

I've seen it and it's neither of those things. Didn't connect with or care about any of the characters and it, frankly, wasn't interesting and at times confusing.

And save your money on the Fantastic Beasts. Weak story line, movie went on too long and the special effects came so often they weren't "special". Just overdone. Maybe kids would like it, though.

I enjoyed it Sam....

There was a sense of beauty mixed in with the political scare sense of urgency.

The creatures were not attractive by our standards yet I found myself drawn to them
