A fight is brewing among forces behind the Trump transition over the future of the Justice Department, with separate factions pushing Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach.
A cabal of wealthy Texas oilmen is aggressively promoting Cruz for attorney general, according to a person with direct knowledge of discussions behind the scenes who also said the one-time Trump rival wants the slot.
On Thursday a new wrinkle emerged, with the Trump transition team releasing a statement about a meeting between Trump and Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions. Trump, the statement said, 'has been unbelievably impressed with Senator Sessions and his phenomenal record as Alabama's Attorney General and U.S. Attorney.' Those words suggest he is being considered to run the Justice Department.
A separate group of billionaires is encouraging the president-elect's team to embrace Kobach, citing his hard-line approach to restricting immigration across the board.
Those insiders want Trump to appoint Cruz to the U.S. Supreme Court instead.

My niece is born in England to an American mother, she has never been considered an American citizen. And what about the Amerasians?

If only half of the children of American soldiers’ born abroad were awarded citizenship, how could you possibly assume a non-military child born abroad should be entitled to immediate citizenship? Was Eleanor in the military?
Ted came from Canada as a resident alien and had to have applied for USA citizenship. Hopefully he did that when he needed a passport to travel in high school. His father admittedly remained a Canadian (for unexplainable reasons) until 2005. Ted’s mother either reapplied for US citizenship or retained her Canadian Papers. Perhaps she repatriated in 2005?

Then why does the document exist? What is its purpose? Together with your birth certificate the CRBA iss part of your ID if you want to do certain things in the US. (like be a Senator)
Concerning his parents: his Communist father, with the JFK assassination connection, and his hippie-dippie mother committing voter fraud in Canada, it sounds like some pretty shaky assertions concerning his beginnings, and his citizenship status.
Using a CRBA makes it easier for the parent or the kid to prove citizenship. It is not required to prove citizenship.
Face the facts.
So, Ted Cruz with sealed citizenship records from Canada, is magically natural born, while 8 years ago, McCain was not considered natural born citizen.
Ted is not superior to the rest of us or the Constitution. If place of birth is of no consequence why would the Senate have acted for McCain?
Why did they pass a resolution 512 in the Senate (2007) in an attempt to amend the US Constitution and declare John McCain eligible to run for POTUS because he was not born in the USA.
