Sadly not 100% true. The Tamil Tigers invented suicide bombing and were a major terrorist problem in Sri Lanka before being finally defeated in their civil war. I never had a good feel on how much of their complaints were based on religion as opposed to ethnic, but most of the Tamil people are Hindus. But still, as a generality, the proportion of dangerous whackjobs is much lower in Hindus than in Obama's friends.

Tamil Tigers had no religious basis - that’s why the Hindu nationalists from India refused to support them in principle even and worked to defeat them.
Their situation was different as the Sri Lankan government was indiscriminately bombing them (their own citizens) - no 2nd amendment rights in Sri Lanka.
