The total apprehensions by U.S. Border Patrol agents of people trying to illegally cross the border between the United States and Mexico increased in 2016 from last year but is lower than the two years prior.
In 2016, there were 408,870 total apprehensions, a 23 percent increase from 2015 in which there were 331,333 apprehensions, U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said in a statement. I recently spoke with a teacher in western PA who said that seventeen of her twenty students in her preschool class do not speak English at home and can barely speak English in class. These children are in a program that used to exist to help low income American children, now it’s helping refugees and presumably illegals although I didn’t feel comfortable questioning the teacher too closely. This area is being flooded with refugees by church groups.
Be certain that federal government money accompanies each of the refugees, and is paid to the churches for their continued assistance.
