Au contraire - the clown movement has overstepped with threats of death and violence. A number have been arrested and a few have been hurt/killed from their own stupidity.
Your argument would be just as effective if you said that folks who wear what looks like bomb vests shouldn't be molested. I know - bit of difference in leagues but the concept is the same.
You should do a search on false clown report and read up.
