Glenn Beck on Friday voiced sorrow over Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) endorsing Donald Trump for the presidency.
[This is] a profoundly sad day for me, he wrote on Facebook. "Disappointment does not begin to describe.
Maybe it is time to go to the mountains for a while, the conservative commentator added. "Again, disappointment doesnt even begin to describe my feelings.
Beck, who supported Cruz over Trump in the GOPs presidential primary, added he feared for the nations future.
America is an idea, not a country, he said. "When we discuss the destruction of our country, that is vastly different than the destruction of an idea. I fear the idea is already lost, due to the panic of losing ones comfort and country.
The founders meant it much differently when they said: join or die. Welcome to the big tent. GOP / DNC 2016 join or die. Long live the idea of the republic.
Cruz earlier Friday endorsed Trump, a stunning reversal after months spent refusing to back the Republican presidential nominee.
Our country is in crisis, he wrote on Facebook. "Hillary Clinton is manifestly unfit to be president, and her policies would harm millions of Americans. And Donald Trump is the only thing standing in her way.
A year ago, I pledged to endorse the Republican presidential nominee, and I am honoring that commitment. And if you dont want to see a Hillary Clinton presidency, I encourage you to vote for him.
Cruz refrained from endorsing Trump after their at-times heated GOP presidential primary.
Beck was fiercely critical of Trump during their contest, even suggesting in March no real Christian would back the billionaire.
The radio host predicted in May, however, Trump would ultimately defeat Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee.
Beck has lost it. He actually lost it a long time ago. Sad, he used to be funny.
I just emailed 610 AM [WTVN] in Columbus, Ohio begging them to cancel Beck’s program. We all need to contact our local radio stations requesting they cancel Beck.
:)
That’s my favorite Cheetos picture.
May I suggest a very long stay at the top of "Devils Tower" in the "Bear Lodge Mountains"?
Devils Tower in the Bear Lodge Mountains(We'll get in touch with you when it is okay to return from the mountain.)
And collectively we all think Trump will solve our crisis. Hate to be a downer but I firmly believe Levin when he said Trump isnt going to solve it, Cruz wouldn’t be able to solve it nor would Reagan if he were still here. We are truly in a crisis and our only hope at this point is article 5 convention of states. His book Liberty and Tyranny lays out the article superbly. Until folks realize it will take a move from the States (close to 10 right now on board) then we all are living a fantasy
8 states: AL, AK, FL, GA, IN, LA, OK, TN
I don’t know if you’re listening to WRVA, but leaning on the program manager, who is also the morning guy, Jimmy Barrett, might get them to switch to Laura Ingram or something better than Beck.
For the good times: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phLlo_t-z-U
The fat version of Elmer Gantry speaks. If Elmer Gantry speaks, and no-one listens, does he really say anything? Dufus!
Get lost, Beck!
Maybe it is time to go to the mountains for a while,
I’ve heard K2 is nice this time of year.
It’s usually WLNI, for some reason radio reception is freaky here.
We used to get WRVA back in the day but not much now.
I cut DTV out and bought an antenna. Oddly I get the Roanoke and Charlottesville stations but nada from Lynchburg, even though I’m closer to Lynchburg.
Strange.
Tx will join with AZ close behind since their liberal State Senate leader will be gone. He solely was holding up the vote
Hmmm, it must have worked! I wrote to Cruz and Kasich and told them they were asses.
By 2020,the 51% of unemployed, never employed and too lazy to be employed will keep dems in power and turn this great nation into crap..Trump can at least slow it down ...
Thanks so much. You made my day. :)
You’re in a much better part of the state.
I’m stuck in Richmond.
