Lester Holt, Martha Raddatz, Anderson Cooper and Chris Wallace wont have to worry about their bosses feeding them questions in their ears when they moderate the presidential debates in the coming weeks.
The Commission on Presidential Debates sent out a message to news organizations Thursday banning moderators from wearing earpieces, Page Six has learned.
Holts NBC colleague Matt Lauer wore an earpiece when he interviewed presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump on his Sept. 7 Commander-in-Chief Forum, which left many criticizing the veteran Today anchors interviewing skills and judgment.
Multiple sources told us that Lauers disastrous performance during his interview with Clinton was largely due to NBC News chief Andy Lack pressuring him to push her on her e-mail scandal.

I was going to say.
Earpieces for mebut not for thee!
Of course this will apply to Trump as well.
Megan whosit harangues Trump and is called genius
Lauer presses Hillary and it is “disasterous”?
[Earpieces banned after Lauers disastrous presidential interviews]
Disastrous to whom? LOL
A small battery operated spark gap transmitter would end the earpiece debacle immediately
Does that count for the candidates too?
They say Hillary just had a recent bit of surgery on her left ear for pain relief, i would bet its for an implanted receiver. Got swept under the news rug.
Disastrous for Hillary not Lauer
“A small battery operated spark gap transmitter would end the earpiece debacle immediately”
Would you explain this more fully? Would this jam the signal or what?
That would violate FCC rules and regulations. Only CommiecRATs can do that. They wouldn't jam themselves.
EXCEPT FOR HILLARY, she needs to make it thru her rallies and non existent news conferences
"What?? Uh-huh. Roger that....Er, um...can you please repeat the question, Mr. Wallace?"
The spark gap generates electromagnetic waves over a very wide frequency range....so jamming any adjacent receiver.
I knew an old Ham Op who started his amateur radio with spark. He was 100 when I left NM in 1986.
The generator looked like a very heavy electric motor. It was a rotary gap type spark generator. They were more powerful than the prior types. The only harmonic suppression was generally in the antenna. So it caused lots of interference. The signal they generated was not a very pure tone, but it worked for CW for long time.
Its so they don’t screw up and use same frequency as Hillary.
Yes. I did read that transmitters can be temporarily implanted.
One thing that Trump can do is walk over to a camera, lift his hair and show he’s not wearing an earpiece. Then say that some people have implied that he’s ‘getting help’ at these debates.
...and just leave it that.
