It was a little hairy at first as when I finally found someone that would tell me when they were going to start closing the streets and I wouldn’t be able to get into the parking lot at my motel once they were closed (he didn’t know where they would start, but said they were starting at 11:30). That was about 9:30 and I flew thru here getting stuff together and headed out a little after ten as it’s about an hours drive from my place. I had called the motel and explained the situation and luckily he let me check in early.
After that, super day - got to meet a lot of really nice people and we agreed that it was nice to be able to discuss politics with like-minded, supportive folks.
One guy from Mill Creek (it’s north of Seattle and a little southeast from Everett) was great. He was interviewed by the Stranger (a really far-out paper - it’s name fits it) and he was very articulate. Said he’s Trump all the way and has a huge sign in his yard. Told me earlier that he’s converted everyone in his neighborhood. Hope she prints what he said without changing things (not that most that read it will agree). He was interviewed by RSBN, too but didn’t know who they were. I explained it to him and gave him the website link and mentioned watching the rallies there as well as the url for FR and told him to search on trumprally threads. He seemed excited to get those.
I got to meet the RSBN guy. Thanked him for putting the rallies on RSBN and that we watch all of them; and, that I was on freerepublic with many friends - he smiled and shook my hand.
The protestors last night were *interesting*
I got home about 45 min ago and came to FR to check in as to what was going on. I’m interested in hearing the statements by Trump and the Mexican Prez. Like one guy on Fox said, it’s in Mexico’s best interests to have security on our border b/c of all of the people coming through Mexico from all over to get here.
Sounds like all of you enjoyed the rally last night - I’m happy there was such a great and enthusiastic turnout!
SC The ENTHUSIASIM and turn out was beyond my wildest dreams, and there you were right in the middle of it ALL!!!! I am so proud of you for just diving in alone and supporting Mr. Trump SOOOOO GLAD you were there your state was AWSOME in their support!!!!
