I’ve had this debate with a family member who is a #NeverTrumper, mainly because he was always convinced that once Trump had secured the nomination the media would be able to pummel him into a bloody pulp.
Based on the first two weeks past the convention, he would appear to be right.
Of course his logic is flawed in that he thinks if Cruz or Rubio had been nominated this wouldn’t be happening.
The Democrats adopted DETROY THE OPPONENT as their official game plan ten minutes after finishing Alinsky’s book in 1972.

I think Trump is surviving the onslaught. If he’s in or very near the lead in the polls by Labor Day the MSM will be in full panic mode. Unlike Cruz or Rubio, Trump can take their best shots and thrive.
