We’re at war. My people had to follow certain rules (Italians) during WWII. Certainly no new ones were allowed in.
And ALL my father’s brothers and friends went to war. For America.
That had NOTHING to do with the war on Italy.
And there were MANY MORE Italians who served than muslims currently serving.
And many died. My pop lost 4 or 5 good friends.
At vigil mass last evening there was, for the first time, an armed law officer guarding the church. We passed him going in, and coming out. Everyone was thanking him and telling him they pray for him. We are in a state of war, where we need armed police protection to practice our Catholic religion.

Every Sunday there are two or more arm church members at my church’s service.
