Sources have told NBC News that RNC chair Reince Priebus, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich are among those trying to talk Trump into a reset of his campaign. In the last few days, Trump has repeatedly criticized a Gold Star family, declared he “always wanted” a Purple Heart, and refused to endorse House Speaker Paul Ryan and Sen. John McCain.
