Woman Facebook live-streams her dying boyfriend seconds after he is shot four times by a cop as his mother says police kept her from her son's deathbed and claims the girlfriend is now missing ===============================================
The devastated mother of a black man who was shot dead by a cop and whose death was live-streamed on Facebook by his girlfriend says she was prevented from seeing him on his deathbed.
Valerie Castile, mother of Philando Castile, 32, who was shot in Falcon Heights, Saint Paul, Minnesota on Wednesday night, also claimed they have been unable to locate Diamond Reynolds, his girlfriend, since she was arrested by police.
The shocking footage of the aftermath of the shooting has sparked protests in Saint Paul, with hundreds of people descending on the Governor of Minnesota's house demanding justice. It is the second controversial police shooting of a black man to emerge in 24 hours.
In the video, Reynolds tells viewers that she and Castile were pulled over for a busted tail light by a 'Chinese police officer'.
She claims the cop, from the St. Anthony Police Department in Falcon Heights, asked Castile, a cafeteria supervisor at a Montessori school in St Paul, to show his license, but then shot him four times while he reached for it.
As she talks, she moves the camera across to show Castile, bloody and losing consciousness, and the cop - still pointing his gun, as her young daughter sits in the back seat.
The police officer, who is yet to be identified, been placed on paid leave.

The guy had a carry permit, too, so it is extremely unlikely he would have tried to pull his gun out and shoot the cop. Carry permit holders are among the most law abiding ctizens in the country.
They need to start giving lessons to every public school child in America about how to deal with cops and survive.
They were stopped for a broken tail light.....................
You pretty much wrote my comment for me.
It was just extreme carelessness.
when he is walking up is too late agreed. You need to do it quick before he even gets out of his car.
They often take a few minutes to get out of their car, that is usually when I get everything ready.
“Makes me wonder how many people have died in the past at the hands of LE when cameras werent rolling.”
Worthy of pondering
That’s exactly what it makes me wonder, too. Given five minutes to make up a story, they’d make one up. And then it’s their word against someone who once got written up for detention in high school and thus not to be believed.
At best, he will lose his job and then go work as a LEO in another state. The FBI will investigate and say he was sloppy, but didn’t have intent to shoot the peasant...er.. perp...Im mean civilian. elite v peasants. the Just-us system has 2 sets of rules.
Very bad. Absolutely horrible. The cop was absolutely in the wrong on this.
Yeah, both of them.
“The gal was pretty calm during the filming and when she says that he was shot when he reached for the ID the cop screams that I told him to keep his hands up and she calmly claims no sir, you asked him to get his license.”
Let me guess, that part is not on the video.
I would like to add. My condolences to the Girl Friend and Family. What a waste of a employed American citizen who was contributing to society.
This guy had CCW. He told the cop that. The police had not given the OK to move his hands. Stopped driver moved his hands
It was reasonable for officer to believe he was going for his gun
Yes.
That cop is going to prison for the rest of his life.......................
No. I doubt he sees any prison at all, but his career as a police officer is probably, and I mean probably over.
In the video, she says while her boyfriend was taking out his wallet, the officer told him “Don’t move” and then, when the boyfriend started to put his hands back up, that’s when the officer shot him.
I guess “Don’t move” means don’t move.
Such a tragedy.
(The news report I heard this morning said he’d informed the officer he had a gun and a carry permit.)
“They often take a few minutes to get out of their car, that is usually when I get everything ready.”
Still a bad idea. Because he sees you “getting ready”. He thinks hiding dope, hiding a gun, getting a gun ready....etc. He also sees you trying to take control of the situation. You aren’t doing yourself any favors. Just sit there, get what he asks when he asks it, be polite and move slow. And no surprises.
Ive seen some people whip out their wallet so fast you’d be forgiven for thinking it was a fast draw.
I dont know what I am more shocked about:
the cop executing this poor innocent guy.
or the girlfriend calmly filming it all.
No, I’m not a member of the police lobby. I have a CCW permit though so I know the law as it applies to Concealed Carry permits.
This one doesnt look good. Baton Rouge looks fine to me.
I agree with you on this.
