Yup. The salvaging of Clinton’s presidency was a GOPe operation. It made the ethical environment FAR, FAR WORSE as all sleazy pols saw that and realized that they could double-down and have a good shot to ride out ANY scandal.
Pure party line. The facts didn’t matter. It’s all “We have to protect our guy.”, or “We have to get their guy,”. No truth, just A against B. No moral absolutes. It’s become a game to these people. A game played with the lives and livelihood of all the American people. If not for the swollen ranks of those that vote with their hand out we might have a chance. As it stands now I can’t see a peaceful way around it.
