They can join George Will and Romney in the un-Republican Party.

Where is he being globalist? We have to establish that before assuming it.

I think you’re going to get exactly that. A lot of our FRiends here keep trying to put Mr. Trump back in the politician box, and that’s not what got Mr. Trump this far.
I expect to see a lot of roles for regular folks, figures from Hollywood and the sports world, and less air time for the professional politicians who have got us in to this mess by rolling over for Obama.
It’s going to be an unconventional convention, and it’s going to drive the leftist and the globalists nuts, many of whom currently serve in office with an (R) after their name.

Makes perfect sense. A candidate should not be attacked at his own convention.

Those people in Ohio have had enough of Kasick. I don’t think he will even bother Trump and I personally think he is finished politically. They are embarrassed with this clown. He better call out the national guard it Trump people are hurt while the burn Mexican flags.

Agree. There is no doubt that Kasich is a closet Dem operative. If Kasich were allowed to speak, he would nuance his way to supporting Clinton OR he would endorse the guy running for the other party. Cant even remember his name. Kasich is in fact a LIBERAL DEMOCRAT. No ifs ands or buts. If Kashich is allowed to speak he would undercover tell everyone to vote for Clinton, vote for that other guy, or if you are going to vote for Trump, instead please just stay home.
When is Kasich going to get called out for being a Democrat operative.
Cruz.
Sad situation. He should have already done the honorable thing which is to keep his pledge and support Trump, the nominee. Either he is waiting until he will get the most bang for his buck in supporting Trump, or he will become a public figure who does not keep his word.
The Bush family has been working via their surrogate Romney via Paul Ryan to sabotage Trump. Bush, Romney and Ryan needs to remember they are FAMOUS and now millionaires because they work/worked for we the people. How can the Bush family look themselves in the mirror. or Romney or Ryan. and justify not supporting Trump.
They are true SNOBS, they think they are better than hard working Donald Trump. It's very sad to know that George W Bush is so shallow and offended like his Dad that he doesn't respect all the patriots who voted for him in 2000 and 2004 and agrees to act like he, his father and brother and Romney are all better than Trump. It is disgusting. THEY are disgusting and acting like anti-Americans purely because of their egos.

George just enjoys attending the CPAC Ronald Reagan Dinner where he acts like a Conservative and tells amusing Baseball Analogies for a Free Dinner (and a Speaker’s Fee I assume).
Been to many of them myself, but I had to pay to be there.

“Before this campaign season, was a candidate, that had enough delegates to clinch the nomination, ever referred to as a presumptive nominee?”
The lexicon is evolving all the time, but if memory serves, this isn’t the first time that phrase has been used in a presidential election.
Don’t quote me, though. I’m not the most learned political student here.

It really would be poor political strategy to use a convention speech to stab your own party's nominee in the back. These battles were settled in the primary elections. That was the time for whatever bloodletting there was to be had. The convention should not be a continuance of that. Whoever gets the most delegates wins the nomination. Like the result or not, it is how the game is played. I see nothing to be gained by sabotaging our candidate in the national spotlight. The ‘Rats would just use that all the more against us. I see no value in handing our enemies a sword.

Very good idea! He's the people's choice, so ordinary people should give testimony.
I have no doubt that Trump's convention party is going to break all conventional wisdom and the elites will be put in their place.

There's no need to risk disunity at the convention. Also, every candidate swore they would endorse the winner.
If they can't say they will endorse Trump, why let them speak? The “self centered and snotty” behavior is coming only from Cruz and Kasich.

If you can limit the consideration narrowly enough, of course you can say only one party is guilty of anything bad.
But life is broader than that.

Thanks for the post, Balding Eagle. I second the idea having Judge Jeanine Pirro speak at the convention. She’ll tear the house down!

Well, the promise to endorse goes back many months. Trump has waited until now to say this.
I think Trump is looking completely clean and even patient.
