This is more realistic than having a poll with Hillary leading in the low 40’s and 20% of undecideds.

For the record– 47.2% of likely voters agree with Trump today that the US should temporarily stop all Muslims from entering the United States. 45.5% of likely voters disagree.

That number has increased by 13 points this month.

I am in Hawaii with a friend who doesn't disagree that Trump is right on the issues which BTW, I support him 1000% even when I wonder why he says some of the things he says. The problem my friend has is that Trump has a big ego that she thinks can cause many world problems - she doesn't like his tone - he isn't diplomatic enough.

I pointed out Trump's retort to this - “ISIS is cutting off heads and burning people alive and they don't like my TONE?”
She is claiming she might not vote.

I'm trying to be diplomatic because of the situation here...but I heard basically the same thing from another close friend - Trump needs to sound more diplomatic.

I think many people don't know what a real leader looks like anymore. To me Trump is the guy who can snap us out of our descent into hell that's been orchestrated by the strange synergy of the Corporate World, the Muzzies, and the far left liberals who are ironically probably the first to go if the Muzzies take over.

Three sets of graphics at the webpage. "Undecided" or "someone else" was asked in at least one question, and the "someone else" got 5%, most of that coming out of Trump's share.

Trump needs to consolidate Republican support. In the latest polls, he is getting around 77% of R support, while Hillary is getting in the high 80s.

I agree Trump needs to concentrate on getting a positive message out about his policies, background and business successes etc. There is certainly enough material to contrast with Hillary. The impulsive and inflammatory headlining of rallies isn’t doing anything to grow his support and probably unconsciously turning a lot of people off even though they may not be paying close attention yet.

Yes, me too. Don’t believe the Reuters’ polls. They were never correct during the Primaries.

Hillary has a ceiling of about 42-44% of the vote. If you go to the RCP polling averages, the differences in the polls have not been Clinton getting higher percentages of the vote, just votes slipping away from Trump. Which means he can get them back. Also, very high number of undecided voters, which may be Trump supporters who just won’t admit it to a pollster. We shall see.

Concur; the way I think he does that while improving his unfavorability rating is to reconcile, first privately, and then publicly, with (most of) the Rep Candidates that he personally insulted. I think this would go a long way toward redeeming his prospects in the general election. It is worth pursuing, not only for his own sake, but for the nation. I do not want President Hillary Clinton. I want President Donald Trump, by the grace of God.
