Given recent news, I thought it was time to put this back in the memepool:
It is impossible to address the problem of rampant crime without talking about the moral responsibility of the intended victim. Crime is rampant because the law-abiding, each of us, condone it, excuse it, permit it, submit to it. We permit and encourage it because we do not fight back, immediately, then and there, where it happens. Crime is not rampant because we do not have enough prisons, because judges and prosecutors are too soft, because the police are hamstrung with absurd technicalities. The defect is there, in our character. We are a nation of cowards and shirkers.

I remember Ben Carson was vilified by our media when he said that during the campaign after the Paris incident. IF we survive as a nation, it will be in spite of the stupidity of our elites, and their slavish stenographers who claim to be "objective" informers of the public.
I always thought that Ben Carson was the most honest non-establishment candidate in the race. He had a very practical side to him as well, and his idea of a massed attack on a shooter is solid strategy. An individual might not be the one leading the attack, but surprisingly, those leading the charge seem to live to tell about it. Surprise is a huge advantage. It causes panic in the opponent.
