A new ABC News/Washington Post poll shows a close contest in presidential election preferences, with Republicans lining up behind Donald Trump as their partys presumptive nominee while the continued Democratic race is keeping Hillary Clintons side more unsettled.
From the poll Trump leads:
Men: Trump 56-34%
Independents: Trump 48-35%
No degree: Trump 52-38%
Whites: Trump 57-33%

But Chuck Todd on MTP just said there’s no way Trump gets enough voters to beat Hillary. /s
Before everyone gets too giddy, keep in mind that the Republicans are unifying. The Bernie/Hillary camps have not. That will happen at some point and we will most likely have a very competitive race in the Fall.
Get ready to fight tooth and nail to reverse the damage that Obama and his cronies have done the past 8 years and Make America Great Again! Take NOTHING for granted.
TTTT!
I’d rather not see this until after the Ds convention. The sooner they force Hilary out the more time Biden has to organize and raise money. If she totally tanks vs Trump by California she’ll come up with an excuse (health, legal issues caused by the VRWC, stupid voters) and give up. It won’t be her choice but the Ds can’t afford to have her at the top of the ballot if Trump becomes more likable and she keeps falling.
On the plus side it gives Trump more time to show what a fool Biden is. If Biden could jump in the day of the vote (not possible) a lot of people would think of him as a savior to protect them from Trump/Hilary and he’d have a good chance. A month of Trump tweets and news will undo a lot of that.
Fly in the ointment?
Trump is polling as well among whites as Romney did and the later still lost.
There aren’t enough white voters to power a GOP presidential candidate to victory.
Demographics are different from the 1980s and a lot of them are slack jawed liberals.
It ain’t gonna be a rose-gilded path to the White House for The Donald.
It does not take into account the "monster vote" either. Hillary is not going o draw the people who haven't voted for years like Obama did but Trump will. Also Trump doesn't need to slice and dice up his words with every new event because everyone wants prosperity and security which gives him a clear advantage. I hope the Losing Losers of the establishment who are never Trumpers get booted from the party after the election. T
Weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth.
And that is just in the media newsrooms.
In the Clinton HQ, watch out for flying ashtrays and mute microphones pending profanity filled rants.
“Bernie will tell his minions to fall in line, and most of them will.”
Not a chance.
If Bernie was going to fall in line he would have done that when he was mathematically eliminated, like Cruz did.
Bernie has been calling for a revolution from the beginning. He is pushing for a contested convention and if he loses, he will say that the system was rigged and will launch a third party bid.
The American people have questions:
HOW DO ILLEGALS BENEFIT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE?
WHY ARE GROWN MEN MORE IMPORTANT TO PROTECT IN PUBLIC BATHROOMS THAN CHILDREN?
WHY DO /POLITICALLY CORRECT SHADOW LAWS’ HAVE MORE IMPACT THAN REAL LAWS?
The news story within the next two weeks will be Is Trump peaking too early?
You read it here first.

I believe you are right, but LIKE SECRETARIAT at the Belmont, Trump will DESTROY all competition.
I have been saying Trump is Secretariat since January!

Hillary cannot win the nomination without the support of the Superdelegates. If they drop their support in favor of Bernie or Biden or both then she is a goner.
That could happen. It's Obama's Plan B.
Wait, this can’t be. We we’re told by opponents and media that Trump would lose in a landslide, based upon polls.
Bernie is too radical for the Democratic establishment.
They will stick with Hillary. Realistically that’s their only shot of beating Trump.
If she can’t, no one can.
Its gonna be close.
I still fully expect Cankles to be our next Prez.
If Trump is leading in late October, I would be happy to be wrong.
I think it will be a huge landslide for Trump, if nothing “happens”...
“They will stick with Hillary. Realistically thats their only shot of beating Trump.”
No it isn’t. Hillary is probably their weakest candidate. All the polls are showing it.
Bernie is a huge problem for them. I don’t believe he is even a registered democrat. He won his seat as an independent.
If he bolts and launches a third party bid, and I believe he will, Trump will win everywhere.
Unlike many Freepers, I’m being realistic.
I heard all the same talk about Romney and look how it turned out.
Hillary is like an incumbent and its very difficult to beat an incumbent.
Trump has his work cut out for him and I truly wish him the best.
Bernie is too radical for the Democratic establishment. They will stick with Hillary. Realistically thats their only shot of beating Trump. If she cant, no one can.
Don't forget two other factors:
1. Obama's need for Legacy. That points to Biden as the "Savior" for the Dems. It might be a bad decision on his part but he does that all the time.
2. Pressure from the FBI to either Indict Hillary or Tell All by Leaks before the Dem Convention.
