One of my dearest friends has dementia/Alzheimers & this past week, had to go into a facility. His family did their very best to keep him at home, but it became impossible for them to deal with. They visit every day & are making sure he’s getting quality care.
To make fun of dementia/Alzheimers in any form or fashion is in worse than very poor taste. Nancy Reagan called it the “long good-bye” and it is heart breaking to see the toll it takes, not only on the person who is afflicted, but the families that are affected as well. Shame on Hollyweird ... but they are so disgusting, it’s not a surprise they would do such a thing.
My grandfather died from vascular dementia (its a less common form of dementia then Alzheimer and can even be worse)
At the end i was visiting him in the hospital where he was staying and he looked at me and asked, who is this man?
