Wonder why young senator Cruz puts his whole carrier in jeopardy with nonsense? He is a relatively young and inexperienced man with a young family in Texas.
Cruz has been portrayed as having such great legal skills but he seems to have had limited life experiences. Ted is not well seasoned. The constant message that he is a complete conservative, the man best versed in the constitution is way over rated. There is so much more our country needs right here, right now to survive.
Ted’s whole persona is poorly conceived. His freaky evangelical anointed show el Cubano is so non-mainstream and unappealing. A man with his education hooking up with Glenn Beck is very strange and has been just creepy. No way can he garner more than 30% of the vote =unelectable and ineligible.
Heidi Cruz’s career was never exposed in relation to Ted’s career and how they were living as a family, yet separate. For the past ten years their unusual domestic life has been inconsistent for a guy who keeps looking up to heaven and saying “I am a Christian and a strong conservative.”
“Bible high, put it down and lie,” that’s our Ted.
I guess the way a Cruz idealist does things is to stamp his prissy foot and stop donations so he can let others pay his way - how .... "principled".
Show Ted what he needs to do - take your ball and go home - the game will go on without you - kind of like taking a teaspoon of water out of the Pacific Ocean......

Sorry to hear you are taking your leave. Even as you signal your reasons (all pretty sensible) you are attacked. It is getting worse than liberals disagreeing with one another to bring their herd into line. Even now you are attacked with a great deal of venom.
While I’ll vote for Trump I won’t attack you personally as I’d wish for you to stay that WAS the beauty with this site, civilized discourse. Not anymore, something has changed and it isn’t the blah blah save the republic (evangelicals have been screaming the rapture has been coming for centuries) it’s something I have yet to figure out. I don’t agree with the article entirely but it does certainly raise a brow.

Getting angry that the candidate you supported lost is silly, getting angry that millions upon millions of people rejected your guy is petty and stupid. I know it makes you feel better to lash out at those who did, try to lump them all into some big insulting pool of just a bunch of morons, but its not true.
Cruz was a weak candidate from the get go, he got beat, just like 16 or 17 other candidates that ran. He got beat decidedly by someone, who like it or not, had a better pulse on the electorate. You can be angry about that, but it doesn’t change anything.
Illegal immigration not even on the radar by Cruz or any of the political class... H1B? Cruz just picked a VP that is one of the more vocal proponents of it. etc etc etc.. Cruz got beat, he wrote a game plan that in another election cycle probably would have worked, and at the end of the day he got beat by someone who didn’t follow the script.
Sadly, Cruz and supporters of his like yourself, are not taking the loss as a learning opportunity and moving on, but are literally lashing out and being childish and petty and down right vindictive in their loss.
You are free to do what you like, but to castigate millions of people as just idiots because for whatever reasons they didn’t vote for your guy is just stupid.
Cruz could have had a bright future even with losing this cycle, he’s young, got plenty of years left... but unfortunately his behaviors and actions have pretty much ensured he’ll never be a serious player on the national stage again. Losses can be tough to swallow, but great folks learn from them, small folks lash out and go bitter over them.
