The planet has been through a lot worse than us. Been through earthquakes, volcanoes, plate tectonics, continental drift, solar flares, sun spots, magnetic storms, the magnetic reversal of the poles … hundreds of thousands of years of bombardment by comets and asteroids and meteors, worldwide floods, tidal waves, worldwide fires, erosion, cosmic rays, recurring ice ages … And we think some plastic bags and some aluminum cans are going to make a difference? I’m Republican in the ‘burbs but I sure wish Lynne Abraham could have had a better shot at the Mayor’s office. She fought tooth and nail for victim’s rights and brought this guy to justice after 20 relentless years (thanks to Arlen Specter’s idiocy) She’s a pitbull...but the Rendells, etc. pushed for Kenney...a total idiot; a Philly version of DeBlasio.
Ping! I remember it well. I was at the first Earth Day on Belmont Plateau, lounging on a blanket on the grass like everybody else, but I was a few feet away from Einhorn because I knew a lawyer friend of his who was helping him with Earth Day. That guy died last year after a long career as an ADA. Einhorn is still rotting in prison, where he is taking up space and using oxygen and costing the taxpayer. Should have been strapped to a gurney years and years and years ago for what he did to that girl Holly Maddox. Her poor family.
Lynne Abraham is and always was an awesome attorney and District Attorney. She was relentless, taking on the nation of France in an effort to see justice for Holly Maddox.
