Tubman was a Republican
Suddenly I feel much better about this.
Hey we need to get this out there.
She also broke Maryland’s “common sense” gun laws a dozen times or so.
I don’t care what ‘Party’ she identified with , she was shooting at my ancestors and don’t want to see her image on one of my most used bills . I will Sharpie the damn image .
Ive seen more uproar over this from feminists and anti-capitalists than I have from the right. Theyre complaining that she would never want to be put on such a representative document of capitalism.
I love the woman. I just hate the picture they are using. There are other pictures of her without that nasty scowl.
I’d rather put a real hero like Chris Kyle on the $20 than some made up affirmative action one like Hariet Tubman!
Pictures on money, who to use bathrooms. I fear we are being setup for something really bad with these distractions.
I wouldn’t mind if they put her on a bill. But first of all I’d like to see a friendly face, not a grim scowl, no matter who is on the bill.
And second, I don’t think the 20 makes much sense. She was not as important to American history as Andrew Jackson.
Finally, I’m afraid it’s the liberals who have re-written history. Anyone who has been through public school or college has been taught that the Democrats are the good guys, and the Republicans were the racists. Never mind that it was not true. They will never hear about the truth as long as the education is in liberal hands. And it will be, unless they fire almost everybody in the education industry and start all over again.
What kind of guns did she use? Put pics of them on the backs of the bills.
Tubman was a true bad@## and a hero. And a fighter.
I love it!
BTW, Trump people who lurk here (we know you do), RUN WITH THIS! It will make the libs’ heads EXPLODE!
Andy Jackson though was the only president who stood up to the Supreme Court, when John Marshall was the chief justice.
Our skull-measuring, evolutionist neo-Confederates don't help the matter either.
1)She freed seventy who were her relatives and close friends and
2) The bounty on her was $100
The problem with the redesign of the $20, is it is accompanied by the redesign of $5 and $10. And the point of the the redesigns is to put blacks on the bills, who have struggled against oppression by whites. I’t all social justice warrior/politically correctness being rammed down on everyone to remind them of the division between blacks and whites, and their white priviledge, as opposed to having everyone treated equally, regardless of race or ethnicity.
As part of bho’s legacy, the bho admin wants to continue the racial divide they have recreated, by creating a constant reminder of how bad white people have been to blacks. It shouldn’t happen, but, the bho admin sees everything from the perspective of race, rather than trying to see things from the perspective of racial equality and equal justice and treatment for everyone.
The faces on the bills are about those men who founded the country not heroes or other historical figures no matter their worth. This is about altering the image of America into something only leftists will love - next up which race which hero which race until it no longer matters,
She is a great choice, she just shouldn’t replace Jackson.
I’ve never had a problem with Andrew Jackson being replaced by Harriet Tubman. I also don’t have a problem with the people who want to take down Jefferson Davis’ statute at universities or in Southern cities. Nor do I have a problem with taking Woodrow Wilson’s name off of memorials and landmarks. In fact, I don’t have a problem with removing any Democrat from any money, monument, building or other public landmark. The Democrat Party is and always has been the party of Racial Division. Apart from maybe John Kennedy, every one of their presidents traded on race to gain power.
I don’t know anyone who doesn’t admire Harriet. A wonderful, brave lady who led the most dramatic life outside of my idol, Joan of Arc. BUT, she’s a minor figure in history while Jackson and our founding fathers are not. If we can kick Jackson off, who is to say we can’t kick Washington off next? That nasty war-mongering slave holder!
This sentimentality about Indians has got to stop. They were violent, warlike, backwards and uninventive outside of figuring how to cook corn. The east, Midwest and west are rife with burial grounds of good people who tried to build America and were slaughtered in horrendous fashion by these beasts.
Wake up, America!
