Breaking: Cruz Negotiating With Trump for VP Spot
A high ranking Cruz campaign official has told Elect Leaders that Sen. Cruz is in negotiations with Mr. Trump to become his Vice Presidential Nominee after Rubio dropped out Tuesday. Sen. Cruz has been the most consistent performer in primaries behind Trump. They are seeing the writing on the wall and want to negotiate from a point of strength which will evaporate over time.
The official stated Mr. Trump is interested in using Sen. Cruzs ground game in the general election, likes his appeal to the conservative base and his stance on immigration. Of the other options for VP none hold as strong of an opinion on immigration outside of Governor Jan Brewer from Arizona who is also being considered.
Senator Cruz in exchange for his support is wanting to be named to the Supreme Court if an opening occurs while Mr. Trump is president. Mr. Trump does not see this as an issue and a small price to pay to bring Sen. Cruz his fundraisers, donors and staff on board
WELL!! I’ll be.
Folks, check this out.
PING!
He already said he would consider him if he got the eligibility issue cleaned up. That was way back in debate number one. If Cruz is interested step one is ask for a declarative judgment on NBC
I’m going to have a ‘wait and see’ remark on this one...
Hmmmm ..?? And, I see you’re not considering the things TRUMP has said about CRUZ ..??? 99.9% OF WHICH WAS UNTRUE.
You people must be kidding me.
THIS IS POLITICS .. THIS IS HOW IT WORKS .. THE TWO LEADERS GET TOGETHER AND TAKE ON THE LOW-LIFE CURRENTLY IN POWER.
I’m so sorry you all don’t see it this way.
I think it’s the other way around, can Cruz be trusted?
I liked the idea of Newt Guingrich on the ticket,
but I think it comes down to character and if Trump can figure out Cruz’ character.
but think about this, if these two agree, and they form a ticket now, it sure takes the steam out of everyone else.
Then over night, the pair have 95% of the republican delegates.
But is this a rumor?
Also, why would they leak this?
Opportunist...as usual.
Oh barf. Let's not pretend that Trump is doing anything for anyone but himself.
...although there is that issue of NBC lingering.
Yeah, about that. So how does Trump agree to a VP who he himself as publicly said on multiple occasions was not constitutionally qualified to be president? And who he has, in fact, threatened to sue over over his eligibility? How does he walk that one back?
He already said he would consider him if he got the eligibility issue cleaned up. That was way back in debate number one. If Cruz is interested step one is ask for a declarative judgment on NBC
Well, let’s see if that happens.
I have said since August the purpose of Cruz in the race is to negate the entire 8 years of HBO and charge he and other members of the D party with Fraud.
Once he is ruled not eligible BO Kenyanbc will appear. Nancy P who signed off will either plea bargain to keep out of jail or go to jail
I think what Trump said about Cruz is worse.
TRump respects a good fight.
I thought Rubio would be the better choice of the two actually.
I liked Newt, but he has baggage...but he’s a great debater and thinker.
Newt could take over in a heart beat the position.
Tough choice for Trump, who must ask himself, I don’t need Cruz at this point.
IF Cruz wants the VP then, why not endorse Trump, and go from there, Trump gives no guarantee other than you will be part of the administration or SCOTUS.
I’ve thought about this five minutes... BAD IDEA!
I sure hope so.
Nice try.
Really ..??? Does Trump know the Constitution as well as Cruz .. NOT AT ALL .. so what does Trump need .. somebody who knows the Constitution .. to keep Trump out of legal trouble.
Get it !!!!
You’re gross.
Ted Cruz is not ineligible .. and you know it .. so stop spreading lies.
Who said Cruz would be a “political functionary” ..????
ONLY YOU.
“Oh barf. Let’s not pretend that Trump is doing anything for anyone but himself.”
“Making America Great Again” would be doing a lot for Donald Trump personally.
He has family; he sees what is happening to the Country. He is at the end of his productive life, he has this one chance for greatness, to be in the history books as the man who Made America Great Again. It is a powerful incentive for a man who already has immense wealth, a wonderful family, just about every material advantage known.
Many great Americans have found contributing to the country to be a source of immense personal satisfaction after they have made their fortunes.
It is not hard to believe that Trump is one of them.
He has never been accepted as “one of the club”. It is pretty obvious when you listen to what he says, and what his family says.
He is too nouveau rich for the political club.
