Breaking: Cruz Negotiating With Trump for VP Spot

A high ranking Cruz campaign official has told Elect Leaders that Sen. Cruz is in negotiations with Mr. Trump to become his Vice Presidential Nominee after Rubio dropped out Tuesday. Sen. Cruz has been the most consistent performer in primaries behind Trump. They are seeing the writing on the wall and want to negotiate from a point of strength which will evaporate over time.

The official stated Mr. Trump is interested in using Sen. Cruz’s ground game in the general election, likes his appeal to the conservative base and his stance on immigration. Of the other options for VP none hold as strong of an opinion on immigration outside of Governor Jan Brewer from Arizona who is also being considered.

Senator Cruz in exchange for his support is wanting to be named to the Supreme Court if an opening occurs while Mr. Trump is president. Mr. Trump does not see this as an issue and a small price to pay to bring Sen. Cruz his fundraisers, donors and staff on board

You think Cruz would be better on SCOTUS than VP? I think Cruz would be great on the court, but maybe Cruz is thinking ahead to a time down the road when Trump is carted off in a straight jacket, or to some other fateful event that would put him where he was aiming to be.

“Reports immediately after the shooting mentioned shots heard from a position above and to the right of Hinckley’s, which covered the exit from which Reagan walked. NBC correspondent Judy Woodruff said that at least one shot was fired from the hotel above Reagan’s limousine. Photos and footage related to those shots have rarely been seen, seemingly having vanished after being shown once. In the photo reprinted here, we can clearly see something or someone on the balcony above and behind Reagan. This photo has been reprinted many times, but almost always cropped to remove the figure on the balcony. Is it just a coincidence, or is this another grassy (Bushy) knoll?”

There is a Freeper who was on Al Haig’s staff at the time. This is one of the reason’s JEB! bowed out. Donald Trump would have run with this. It is also why the Bushes want to “eliminate” Donald Trump in any way they can. You are living in a truly evil world, and it gets worse before it gets much, much better.

Nope. He could not block Obama so what makes you think he can block trump?

What makes you think the Democrats would do anything to help Trump moves his policies forward? Given that then a filibuster is a powerful tool.

I said nothing about Trump. I’ve been pushing for a Trump-Cruz ticket as a Cruz supporter. I said we need to stop running execrable RINO loser tickets. No bones should be thrown to the corrupt Socialist RINO Establishment. They’re owed exactly nothing.

I don’t want to unite the party.

Great. Have fun watching Trump lose in November then. Because he has absolutely no chance of winning if the party establishment doesn't back him. Zero. And way too many people who normally vote Republicans will sit home.

Actually, my biggest hangup in voting for Trump in the general is people like you, because I don't want to elect a candidate who is going to destroy the party and turn Congress -- along with the White House - over to the Democrats. I'd rather have that party-destroying guy lose the election and at least preserve some power in Congress.

“VP has no influence or power over anything.”

VP is automatically President of the Senate and the tie breaking vote.

It’s only been since 1967 and the ratification of the 25th Amendment that it’s been possible.

Peddle your sycophantic crap somewhere else. Busy little worker bees like you are the reason there is a GOPe helping the democrats to end the Republic.

Even Reagan had to unite the party with his Bush Sr VP selection.

Well which is it?

You've stated both that "Katrina Pierson and Ted Cruz committed adultery" and "Their affair, from 2014, has been rumored"?

Either you know it to be true and can prove it or you shouldn't be spouting off about stuff like this. You give the other Trump followers a bad name.

The best of both worlds.....Cruz takes the VP spot.

Then, if there is an opening on the Supreme Court, Trump nominates Cruz.

Then Trump picks another person to be his VP after Cruz is sworn in as a Supreme Court Justice. Liberal heads explode.

I totally agree. Cruz for nothing. He needs to find his place in the world and it isn’t in the WH or SCOTUS.

We’re supposed to believe that Trump wants Cruz’s “fundraisers and donors” on board?

That’s it in a nutshell. Those are the very scumsuckers he does NOT want on board!

I said nothing about Trump.

No, but the dates you selected for your examples support the idea that having a RINO at the top of the ticket is what matters:

Because impurist RINO tickets have done so well at winning. 1932, 1936, 1940, 1944, 1948, 1960, 1976, 1992, 1996, 2008, 2012.

You omitted 1980 and 1984, which had Reagan at the top of the ticket but Bush in the Veep slot. An "impurist RINO" ticket, but one that won in two absolute landslides.

Of course, you also omitted 1964 -- where arch-conservative Goldwater lost, 1952/1956 when moderate Ike won, and 1968/1972, where Nixon/Agnew won. So I'm not sure there is a consistent logic to your examples anyway.

No bones should be thrown to the corrupt Socialist RINO Establishment. They’re owed exactly nothing.

So you don't want Trump to get the votes of all the Republicans who aren't fond of either Trump or Cruz? You'd rather have them sit out or vote for Hillary? And you don't want to votes of all those suburban women either?

You'd rather lose just to say you "stuck it to them" than actually win the election.
