How about, “Best tank of 1941”? I would agree with that, but after the Germans armed the Mk IV with a high-velocity long-barreled 75mm gun in mid-1942, the Russians lost their firepower advantage. The T-34’s main advantage was that the Russians built 60-80,000 of them, while German production of all types was less than 30,000. As Stalin said, Quantity has a quality all its’ own.
Yeah, when the US and ROK forces in Korea didn’t have any tanks. There weren’t many tank battles in Korea, since by the time we sent tanks, the Nork tanks had been destroyed by air power.
The Russians demanded that diesel engines be installed in the thousands of Lend-lease tanks we gave them.
Yes, the folks at Warren, in about 6 weeks, figured a way to mount two Detroit 6 cylinder 71 series diesel engines side by side on the engine compartment of the A4 tank. This became the A4M2 version of the Sherman tank. We shipped the Soviets over 6,000 of these diesel powered Shermans. As a side item. the US Marine Corp also used this diesel powered version of the Sherman in the Pacific Theater.
Edit, M4A2, my bad

It was not Stalin who said this, it one of main postulates of Marxist philosophy stemming from German classic philosophy.
Well, I’d bet Stalin said it at one time or another. ;>)
