He wants to deport all illegal aliens, but he wants to "EXPEDITE the legalization of the 'good' ones". I call that amnesty.

He has said that the people that are here in America whom it would be in America's interest to have return will be able to apply to return legally but that it could take years and will not be a guaranteed citizenship track.

He wants to repeal Obamacare, but he 'likes' the insurance mandate. He doesn't want to have people 'dying in the streets' by giving them government single payer medical care.

His choice of the word mandate is unfortunate. He has clearly and repeatedly stated that the vast majority of American would be on free market health care plans and HSAs would be encouraged. The mandate part is the charity care that America is already committed to, Medicaid etc. That care he has addressed saying that no one should be dying in the street but that we need to improve our bidding and delivery system so that the indigent care is better, delivered cheaper & more efficiently. He has also outlined a significant improvement in Veteran's care.

He wants to punish business for producing off shore, except of course for his own clothing lines since 'you can't make clothing in the US any more'.

He doesn't have offshore clothing manufacturing. He has licensed the use of his name for some labels as many celebrities, sports figures etc do. He is consistently committed to bringing back our manufacturing base.

He wants free trade, except for a 45% import duty on China and others (who will immediately reciprocate, killing US exports - and don't reply with the line "we don't export anymore. We are the third largest exporting country in the world. It was export duties and their reciprocation by other countries that turned a bad recession into the Great Depression)

We are a net importing country by a vast margin and it is killing our economy. To negotiate any deal including trade deals it is important to have a negotiating stance and rattle your sabre. Americans have forgotten how to negotiate and are clueless about the need to "posture and leave the table."

Our trade partners are laughing all the way to the bank at how they are screwing us. Fair trade where America is working on a level field is in America's interest and the position Trump has commited to achieve.

U.S.-China Trade Facts U.S. goods and private services trade with China totaled $579 billion in 2012 (latest data available). Exports totaled $141 billion; Imports totaled $439 billion. The U.S. goods and services trade deficit with China was $298 billion in 2012. China is currently our 2nd largest goods trading partner with $562 billion in total (two ways) goods trade during 2013. Goods exports totaled $122 billion; Goods imports totaled $440 billion. The U.S. goods trade deficit with China was $318 billion in 2013.

Your reply simple confirms to me that many Trump supporters simply believe what they WANT to believe, and ignore what they don't want to believe. Here's why I say that:

JG:"able to apply to return legally but that it could take years" NPS That's simply not consistent with Trump's own word 'expedite'.

JG "His choice of the word mandate is unfortunate." NPS It may be unfortunate, but that's what he said.

JG:"He is consistently committed to bringing back our manufacturing base" NPS He certainly SAYS that a lot, but he hasn't DONE it with his own badged products. Just a note here. I work for a company that exports millions of dollars of manufactured products to China, and we import none. When we go to china, we bring mementos to give to good customers. ALL our mementos are US made.

JG "Americans have forgotten how to negotiate" NPS No, Obama has chosen not to negotiate properly.
