Au contraire. What ever happened to "speak softly, but carry a big stick". It worked great for Ted Roosevelt. Because the foes of the USA knew he would us the stick. Carrying the stick is meaningless if the foe doesn't belive you will use it. And the GOPe has demonstates since 2000 that the only time they will use the political stick is to hit their own voters. This weeks case in point, why is Mitt Romney ANYWHRERE today but at home?
