Texas Sen. Ted Cruz won the straw poll at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Saturday.
Cruz was named the winner with 40 percent of the attendees' support, while Florida Sen. Marco Rubio came in second place with 30 percent. Donald Trump, who was scheduled to speak at CPAC on Saturday morning before pulling out, came in third place with 15 percent, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich had 8 percent.

Does anyone have the past winners during recent election years?
Thanks!
Didn’t Ron Paul win this like 10 times?
No but he just won Kansas and is on track to win Maine, so that may carry some weight.

Since Trump is the one giving the money to CPAC, your statement makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. But cute, ha ha.
Perhaps. Perhaps not. But, then again, Trump followers seem to think the “American Idol” style voting of the Drudge Report debate polls mean a lot, which I tend to doubt. Especially, when I’d heard anywhere between 70% and 90% voted for Trump, and there was no way in Hades that Trump won that debate!
Thanks.
I was trying to find a list that would fit on a tablet or smart phone.
I don’t even watch this trash anymore, they have gone pro Jew hater Grover norquist, and big gay involvement with guy Benson. Do they think this is conservative? Look who has won in the last few years,Ron Paul,yuk....it should change its name to non conservative Pac. I have been watching the GOP take a nose dive into juvenile, limpwristed, out of touch tone deaf behavior for several years now. Nobody cares about this gathering except people looking to get money and business at decent conservatives expense.
You are kidding right?
Nothing has changed much...1983 NYT
His alternating skills of charming some individuals and riding roughshod over others has earned Donald Trump a reputation in some quarters as someone not to be trusted. He reneged, for example, on a promise to donate to a museum the Art Deco bas- reliefs on the facade of Bonwit Tellers - bulldozed to make way for Trump Tower. It was a sin deemed unforgivable by landmark preservationists. But the only negative comments about Donald Trump these days are given off the record.

why? might have something to do with intimidating lawyers whose boss loves and enjoys lawsuits.
shhhhhh
The GOP kind of conservatives.
Nope. Not at all.
I was changing channels to find a certain network and came across it. How can people watch that junk and take it seriously?
Baloney. I am 72 and have been a conservative since 1960 when I was in high school. I support Trump 100%.
To you that is synonymous to evil I gather. To me it shows an incredible drive. I wish I had had a drive like that at an early age. I'm not jealous, but rather amazed and even impressed. While you see him as litigious, I see him as a fighter that when challenged rises to the occasion to silence his opposition and defeat them.
I see congratulations are in order for the impressive win in Kansas.
Look all we are asking fro you Cruz supporters is to quit with the constant barrage of attacks. It's way past getting old Support your man because when it is all over and done with we need to coalesce behind the nominee and defeat Hillary. That will take both camps. Neither can win without the other. Trump supporters have no problem doing that but you Cruz supporters just may pick up your marbles and go home if your man loses. We all lose if that is the reality.
>>>Trump will likely drop out soon and endorses Cruz<<<
Seriously?
One of my favorite things to do is watch our Flying Pig playing with our pet Unicorn while the Magic Pixies join the Leprechauns in search of the Loch Ness Monster.
I’ll let you know what they find as soon as I get back from Elysium.
I do have to apologize in that I thought your were the person to whom I replied. Intimidation and threats because someone says something negative about you is overkill. Making people fear you does not make a leader. A great leader EARNS respect and does not demand it unfounded. A great leader never asks someone to do something he would not do himself.
My leader died for those He loves. Pretty high standard but I know a few who have done the same or were willing to do the same.
Having drive and being aggressive does not make a leader.
Trump is not nor ever has been (until recently) a conservative. I will vote for Trump if he wins the nomination, But given his pattern of behaviour he will do things once in power that will not be conservative.
