Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump on Friday vowed to "open up" libel laws in order to sue media outlets that write "purposely negative" and "horrible" articles about him.
"I'm gonna open up our libel laws, so when they write purposely negative and horrible, false articles, we can sue them and win lots of money," Trump said at a rally in Fort Worth, Texas.
"We're going to open up those libels laws," he added. "So that when The New York Times writes a hit piece, which is a total disgrace, or when The Washington Post, which is there for other reasons, writes a hit piece, we can sue them and win money."
"You see, with me, they're not protected, because I'm not like other people, but I'm not taking money. I'm not taking their money. We're going to open up libel laws, and we're going to have people sue you like you've never got sued before."
Trump, who has a contentious relationship with the media and has accused several members of the press of treating him unfairly, did not offer additoinal details about the plan.
The billionaire businessmanâs comments came moments after New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who ended his own Republican presidential bid after a poor showing in New Hampshire, endorsed him for president."

“And they keep talking about all of his donations to people like Chuck Schumer and the Clintons.
The only reason that Rush is pushing this nonsense is because Cruz came up with it and Rush wants to back up Cruz.
Trump has addressed this issue many times. Cruz’s ploy was to present it as if it is something that Trump has carefully kept hidden. Trump talked about it during the first debate last August. Everyone already knows it. The only thing that mystifies me is that Trump of some reason neglects to mention that he has given about the same amount to Republicans.
Now, if the witch wants to throw it up to Trump during a debate, all Trump has to say, among many possibilities, is to remind her she is the one who is always up for sale.
More than the donations is the fact that Trump’s on tape saying Hillary Clinton would be a great senator, or sec of state or whatever it was. A clip like that can be played over and over. They played McCain’s clip saying he agreed with G.W. Bush over 90% of the time over and over the week before that election. It’ll either be that or some other gaffe that nails Trump. There are so many video clips of him out there saying ridiculous, stupid, offensive or contradictory things.
Perhaps Rubio can explain his healthcare plan and how the uninsurable are going to get coverage? Should be simple enough.
