Even now, how will Scalia’s replacement vote?

These judges are such a gamble.

Still, I think the democrats are better at picking someone who remains on the ideological reservation than the Republicans, but wouldn’t it be wonderful to see them appoint a lib who then votes for the Constitution?

I think we need a constitutional amendment imposing some form of term limits for federal judges. Perhaps 10 years on the bench? 20?

When the Framers made it a lifetime appointment, did they consider that by the 21st Century the average life expectancy would be close to 80; or more, for the wealthy upper class?

Congress just needs to exercise the impeachment widget. No way is “hallucinating a right to homo marriage” good behavior.
