I am so glad you have told me this bgill. Thank you! I'm going to call the yearbook department at Stanford Monday and ask them to check and see if there are any yearbooks in storage for the year 1977.
Back in 2004, I called my alma mater and got the yearbook dept on the phone and asked if they had any copies for 1979 and they said they'd check in their storage building and that I should call back the next day. I called back the next day and they told me they still had seven copies and I paid $50 for the book plus Fed Ex. (this '79 book was the one I was missing. I somehow lost the original I had purchased. In fact, I have that yearbook now along with the other three on the shelf in my study.
This is such fantastic news bgill and thank you again so much for posting this to me!! I'll post what I find out Monday after I call. I'm hoping they at least have one more copy left.
If I am able to buy a copy from Stanford, I'll post a thread about it and get my son to paste pictures out of it. I have no clue how to do that. It's like html, I have a mental block on all that.
I'm also going to call Craig later this morning when it's about 10am out there and ask him to drive over to the campus and actually go in person to see if he can find out if there are any '77 yearbooks left and have him buy one for me! Hell, I'd pay $200 for one right now!
LOL! That’d be great if you could get your hands on one. Even if your friend could just copy the page and any other yearbook or whatever else from her years there. Wish I lived close enough, I’d already be there. Follow the crumbs.
