Remember hope? Or, to be more specific: remember “HOPE”?

Shepard Fairey, the “artist” who “created” that iconic image, is back. And you’ll never guess which presidential candidate he’s supporting this time!

Yes, it is far too cluttered to be iconic. It’s sort of interesting to pick the elements out of the clutter. I’m a junkie for icons and propaganda art - how one tries to project ideas or identities through imagery. I am surprised at this mess, but then, it is not something official, just one groupie’s little house altar.

Someone on another site claims it is a throwback to the Romanian Fascist organization, The Iron Guard.

I couldn't find any of their icons after five minutes' desultory searching.

But I'll tell you what it reminds *me* of:

A cross between Nazi imagery and an old-fashioned TV test pattern (back in the days when stations would occasionally lose the signal)...

Bernie Sanders.

Not just Socialism. National Socialism.
