Remember hope? Or, to be more specific: remember “HOPE”?

Shepard Fairey, the “artist” who “created” that iconic image, is back. And you’ll never guess which presidential candidate he’s supporting this time!

There’s something creepy about that T-shirt he designed for Sanders, it reminded me of the Nazi Iron Cross.......

Graffiti artist Shepard Fairey, who was recently charged with a felony after he reportedly vandalized several buildings during his stay in Detroit, was arrested earlier this week in Los Angeles, according to the Detroit News.

Love the comment at the site, “Can I get this shirt in brown?”

That's what it was. I was thinking the Nazi "eagle", but that wasn't quite right.

I’m so conflicted about B&J .....it’s a great product,as IMO food products from Vermont are wonderful. B&J are holding on to offering their ice cream in full pints. The other premium producers...Haagen-Daz, Farmer’s Cow...have reduced their volumes to 14 oz...but are still calling it a *pint.*

I hate B&J’s other company policies and the fact, that early on, they got political. Oh well.

Shrinking the volume b/c of costs to maintain prices seems to be the way.

Carry on

Texas cattlemen have been trying to warn everyone about the sheep herders and prairie fairies for over 100 years.

Now do you believe us?

It suggests that. Also some WPA art. Honestly, it is a conceptual mash up. Vaguely disturbing but to no real point.

You too?...Hmmmmmm, I'm wondering if that's where he got the idea.

We need to come up with our own that changes the seal to the Imperial Logo from starwars. I still can't get over the Lady Liberty burning at the stake on the bottom.

That is so true. Some of the producers are not very clever at it. I purchased a box of Ritz crackers not long ago. One-third of every stack in the box was air!

Which Socialist symbol will Bernie choose?
The swastika or the hammer and sickle?

It’s been a generation since I bought a *pound* of coffee ...funny the cans have stayed the same size, eh?

It’s a chore to find a 5# bag of cane sugar any longer. You have to hunt for it. Meh.

I bought some Pepperidge Farm cookies [a rare event] only b/c they were on sale and I had a coupon as well, and found there were 8 cookies in the bag! EIGHT cookies. I’m done with PF. EIGHT cookies!!!

Penn Dutch egg noodles, went from a 1# bag to 14 oz., son many old recipes I use, that call for 1#, i now use another 1/2 bag of noodles to make the recipe.

Shopping used to be fun...now I feel like I’m going into a war zone ....trying to remember which companies I should avoid b/c of their political stance .... questionable alliances.

It’s exhausting. LOL

Your Nabisco crackers are down 15%/box. GRRRR!

You nailed it.

I would rather have the price go up than the size go down.

Many recipes are based on the old weights, which had been around for years.

They treat us like fools.

Thanks for another interesting thread ping I’d have otherwise missed. Without your comments, I’d have missed most of the mechanics of the Bern image too. I guess I’m shallow; I looked at it, and my only thought was, ‘That will never be iconic.’ I.e.: it doesn’t have the Hope/Obama vibe of something large afoot. It’s just symbols.

Otoh, I’ve never been dismissive of the old commie. Mos and mos ago I asked why more people weren’t taking him seriously. Imo, he’d be far harder to beat than Hillary. Maybe the big deal with Fairey is simply that he’s passing the torch. Obama’s artist is now pimping Bernie. That in itself probably trumps the somewhat listless image.
