Just a reminder the Cloture rules requiring 60 votes to end debate in the Senate still applies for SCOTUS nominees. Yes Harry Reid dropped the nuke for executive appointments but exempted SCOTUS nominees. If 40 GOPers stand strong the nightmare of Obama getting to replace Scalia shall not pass.

LOL!
Yes, I don’t believe McConnell for even a second.
Maybe I will be surprised, but I doubt it.

I'd say no, Bork was knocked out of contention in committee. Others would say that counts as a filibuster. All depends on how one defines "filibuster."
And hopefully the dead Fat Teddy Kennedy (who was instrumental in that travesty) is still slowly turning on a spit over the hottest flame in Hell as Robert Bork is even now, still rejoicing in the Presence of God.

Absolutely right. If we block this nomination Jeb won’t be elected. Don’t worry the GOP knows what it’s doing.

You mean the party of the cadavers. Yes, I’m that cynical.

And such was the nation’s enormous loss. Teddy the Swimmer is feeling his reward, even as we speak.

And while Cruzers know nothing, care to know nothing, don’t want to learn anything about “fast track” or for that matter TPP, this is a SERIOUSLY BAD ISSUE, equal at least to the disaster that NAFTA has been. Heidi spoke in support of fast track authority this week, naturally. We’re screwed unless conservatives get EDUCATED to GLOBALISM-—which is the threat of the 21st century that communism was in the 20th century.
