Trump’s support is not malleable.
His campaign is a movement. It’s a revolution. It doesn’t exist as a place to park yourself until some other person woos you away.
That’s why it only grows.

Yep. When Cruz implodes, Trump will go over 50% easily.

"We won't be swayed tonight," one Trump supporter said, speaking for his family. Meaning, no matter what happens at tonight's debate, Trump is their guy.The allegiance is blind. It is not moored to rationality.
To: jneesy
It’s not about learning. It’s about positioning. Fascinating to watch IMO.

I want a custom LEGO wall kit for my son.
Complete with the guard towers, the Trump logo and a YUUUUGE gate.

I don’t Cruz will catch, but it’s unlikely he will implode. I think that he’s run the most prepared campaign and with the fewest errors. He’ll be there in the end to strike a deal with Trump.

So the point here is that Trumpsters are so rabid that regardless of the debate results they will march into battle on a cult of personality?
Not a solid conservative plan

South Carolina is peculiar, this event is in the Upstate, which is in some ways another planet from the Low Country. Upstate is more friendly to rabble-rousing and upsetting the apple cart, Low Country is political establishment all the way. Graham is hated Upstate, elected by the Low Country. I expect Bush to put in a better showing than expected due to this dichotomy. Cruz is a mixture, he won’t fare badly in either region but the support doesn’t seem strong enough for him to win outright. Trump’s polling is very strong in SC statewide. I expect he’ll win, but not by as wide a margin as polling indicates.
