I don’t see any unity among Republicans.

Trump supporters hate Ted Cruz and will never vote for him.

Cruz supporters hate Trump and will never vote for Trump.

If Rubio, Bush, Kasich, etc are nominated, conservatives won’t vote.

With a mess like this, I don’t see how the Democrats can lose.

You're right - there is no GOP candidate who won't alienate a significant number of Republicans. I suspect Cruz would have the best chance of uniting conservatives, but that's not enough to win a general election.

Honestly, things have gotten so bad that watching Bernie Sanders win would at least carry the consolation prize of laughing at the post-mortem finger pointing by Republicans/conservatives bla.ing each other for nominating the "wrong" candidate.

I'm a Trump supporter who would vote for Cruz if he won. I don't see myself as being alone among Trump supporters here.

Now, try polling Cruz supporters and see how many would vote for Trump in the general.
