He is #1? He should have dived on that ball! It’s no wonder they lost. That’s chicken****. What a puss!
Why should his line protect him if he won’t make an effort? Incredible. The super bowl.

What was that anyway ... a “business decision”?

Newton almost got the ball back anyway when 67 knocked it into Cam’s left leg.

I don't blame him here.
He was too close to it to fall\dive on it.
If he reaches for it to pick it up in that position, he gets hammered to the point of getting hurt.

seeing it in slow motion, it appears he could have done better on the ricochet. It hit him in the thigh and he tried to grab it with his hand(s). The problem is, the play didn't happen in slow motion. I give him a pass both ways.

Awesome. I should have read the whole thread before posting a message about that play. LOL.

I was a total Cam Newton fan until this play. During 1/2 time a commentator stated the league needed to step up to win.

With the game on the line the MVP stepped back on not recovering his fumble.

While a gifted athlete, he did not demonstrate the heart to won. He lost all my support on that play.
