RE: God never said to attach that condition to our forgivenesses
John 3:16 “... That WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM Should not perish but have everlasting life”
Are you saying that you can believe in Christ but not acknowledge your sins and ask for forgiveness?
There is a condition attached to the above famed verse.
” If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” — 1 John 1:8-10
Again, notice the IF condition there.
“And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” — Acts 2:38
Notice the precondition for forgiveness of sin — REPENTANCE.
Look buster, I said OUR forgivenesses.
Are we Christ’s auditors? You are pretty damned presumptuous here.
You would hang the albatross around everyone’s neck to be sure their enemy repented before forgiving.
Do you realize what a literally hellacious thing you are prescribing.
EDIT TO ADD — and if you are telling me that God will forgive a sinner who adamantly refuses to repent of his sins, I don’t see that in the Bible.
